After a great start of the official SUITCEYES kickoff with the Symposium: From Touch to Cognition on January 17, 2018, which also included interested external parties and potential advisors (see this post), the project was also started internally by all partners of the consortium. Following the Symposium, each partner was introduced by the person responsible for the SUITCEYES project.
To make sure that everyone knows as much about the schedule and its official deliverables of the project as possible, every work package was explained separately and open questions and uncertainties were discussed and solved. Further, an expert in ethics was contacted to give some input about the most important ethical aspects for the complex target group of persons with deafblindness.
In some workshops of only small teams the first decisions about management, publicity work and the first steps were made. These workshops were followed by some official information on financial, data and innovation management. Concluding the day with an overall overview over the Research and Innovation Programme Horizon2020, funded by the European Union.
For three days (01/17/18 – 01/19/18) all partners of the project SUITCEYES came together, planning, organizing and laying the foundation for a successful and pioneering EU project. After the official kickoff all members agreed that a very promising foundation could be established and everyone is looking forward to the progresses and developments during the next three years.
